Overview
Pesos is a personal finance tool that helps you understand your spending by processing bank statements you upload. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account information: Your email address and password, used for authentication.
- Bank statements: The files you upload. These are stored in encrypted cloud storage and associated with your account.
- Transaction data: The dates, descriptions, amounts, and categories extracted from your statements.
How we use your data
- Statement processing: Your uploaded files are sent to third-party AI services to extract and categorize transactions. Only the file content is sent — not your email or identity.
- Dashboard and insights: Your transaction data is used to generate the spending summaries, category breakdowns, and trends you see in the app.
- We do not sell, share, or monetize your financial data.
Third-party services
We use third-party services for hosting, data storage, and AI processing. Statement data sent to AI providers is used only for processing your request and is subject to their respective data handling policies.
Data storage and security
- Your data is stored securely and isolated so that only you can access it.
- Uploaded statement files are stored in private cloud storage and are not publicly accessible.
- Authentication sessions are managed via secure cookies.
Your rights
- You can delete individual accounts and their associated transactions at any time from the Accounts page.
- You can edit or re-categorize any transaction.
- You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only, for authentication session management. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
